You can easily visit Big Sur at any time of year, you don’t have to worry about snow, or dead trees lacking foliage, or road closures (expect for that time when HWY 1 basically broke in half and slide down the hill but you’re good now). BUT the best time to visit is in the spring and summer to see all these wildflowers.
